Drum Major Auditions: petitions are now available. Remember that band members can sign no more than two petitions. Petitions are due Wednesday 4/20. Clinics are Friday 4/22, Monday 4/25, and Tuesday 4/26. Auditions are 3rd period and after school on Wednesday 4/27.
WS/SB: The Chicagoland Invitational Concert Band Festival is this Saturday, April 16 at Hersey. Call time is 11:30 at SHS.
Fundraiser: Orders are due next Monday, April 18th.
Seniors: The Band Booster College Scholarship Applications are due Monday. Senior bios were due last Wednesday. If you have not turned yours in, please do so ASAP.
Sectionals: WS/SB/CB/Cadet.
Performances This Weekend: On Saturday, some of the best high school bands from the area will be at Hersey for the Chicagoland Invitational Concert Band Festival. Performances begin at 11am and end at 9:30pm. SHS Wind Symphony performs at 2pm in the Main Gym and Symphonic Band performs at 4:45pm in the Black Box Theater. On Sunday, the Northshore Concert Band (including Mr. Tipps) performs at 3pm at Pick-Staiger Concert Hall at Northwestern. Great concert review opportunities here.
