-Welcome back...one quarter left...sprint to the finish...run thru the tape.
-Bring back a post card from your break? Put your name on the back and put it in the office mail box.
-Auditions begin today.
-CSO trip. Take a permission slip. Get it back tomorrow.
-Jazzers: Lab Band 3:00. Ensemble 7:30.
-Percussion: There are still a couple of you that have not turned in your Master Class form. They're late.

-Congratulations to the following bandos who were selected for the 2014 D211 Honors Band: Jocquil Givens, Colleen Wilkes, Maira Senoo, Tania Manjarrez-Nevarez, Jaina Chu, Elena Tresin, Michelle Lei, Alex Maciejewski, Jemi Kim, William Brauweiler, Aaron Fradin, Drew Kissamis, Kathleen Young, Sarah Jaris, Jaimie Spahr, Michael Christopher, Matthew Podkowa, Andrew Chester, Felicity Muldoon, Elliot Krueger, Robert Bach, Ryan Petritis. The concert is May 17. Clear your calendars.
-Clarinet sectionals today. Work on audition etudes.
-Today is J.S. Bach's birthday. Our music sounds the way it does today because of his genius. Play a Fugue today.
-Pit orchestra t-shirt orders are on by door.
-Percussion: Master class pieces are due today.
-Percussion: If you want to take an instrument home for the break, write me a note.
-ALL HORNS GO HOME FOR THE BREAK...practice every morning...make it the 1st thing you do each day, then you have the rest of the day to enjoy. Seating auditions are the 1st day back!
-Enjoy your break, whether you're getting out of Schaumburg or not. Either way, pick up a post card and bring it back. We'll do our annual Spring Break bulletin board with your post cards.

-Congratulations orchestra bandos on last night's performance. It was excellent. This past week has been a very busy one for the SHS musicians...5 performances in 6 days. Thank you for your time and talents. Sharing these are such important virtues in life.
-Congratulations bandos...your Band-Aid Concerts raised $2279 for the Elilepsy Foundation of Greater Chicago. An awesome Random Act of Kindness. Thank you!
-Sectionals: Flutes and double reeds today. Work on etude auditions.
-Clarinets: Sectionals tomorrow.
-Pit orchestra: After school today.
-CSO reahearsal field trip (April 2) sign up is today. You need the new password. You cannot have any IOUs t sign up.
-Percussion: Master class piece titles are due tomorrow.
-Percussion: If you want to take an instrument home over the break, write me a note.

-Great concert last night! Tribus Fabuloso, Symphonic Band, WS Clarinet Quartet and Wind Symphony all performed with excellence. (new password: "phone home") Last night's program had a very high level of difficulty and you all came to play, you didn't back down. Thank you for your hard work and sharing your talents.
-Low Brass sectionals today. Work on audition etudes.
-Flutes and double reeds tomorrow.
-Pit Orchestra after school today.
-CSO rehearsal tickets. Sign up tomorrow during lunch periods using new password. If you have IOUs, you cannot sign up. Trip is Wednesday, April 2nd.
-Orchestra Concert tonight: 7:00 pm. (Good idea for semester review).

-Nice concert last night...Concert Band, Cadet Band, WS Trumpet Quartet, Sophomore Saxophone Quartet and Os Caput Trombone Quartet...there was some great music played. Thank you for your hard work and talents.
-Band-Aid Concert II tonight at 7:00. $5 for tix. Tough program tonight. Good idea for in-house semester review.
-Sax sectionals today: Work your audition etudes. Low brass/Horns tomorrow.
-Fundraiser is due today.
-WS/SB/WS Clarinet Quartet/Tribus Fabulosos Horn Quartet: Call time is 6:30 tonight. Dress is formal wear or SMB uniform.

-Trumpet sectionals today. Do your audition etudes.
-Sax sectionals tomorrow.
-No jazz rehearsal this week. Ensemble sectionals will run this week.
-Fundraiser orders due tomorrow.

-Congratulations to all of the band's St. Baldrick's participants and all of you who have donated to this cause. You are making a huge difference in our world.
-Congratulations choir students on a fantastic concert yesterday evening.
-Assembly Today: all band members are dismissed from your 8th period class today at 1:20. Come down to the band room for a brief warmup.

-Band-Aid Tickets are on sale now. $5 for one night or $7 for both. Please purchase for family members ahead of time. Talk it up...let's fill the auditorium!
-Drum Major Petitions are now available. Band members may only sign up to 2 petitions. Clinics will be held Tuesday, April 1 and Wednesday, April 2. Auditions will be Friday, April 4.
-Cadet Band Sectionals: hit any trouble spots in Monday's concert music.
-Next Week's Sectionals will be on the SMB schedule. Work on audition music. Trumpets Monday. Saxophones Tuesday. Low Brass/Horns Wednesday. Flutes Thursday. Clarinets Friday.

-All instruments go home today. Mr. Beckwith will be in to work with all four bands on Monday.

-Band-Aid tix are now on sale. Please purchase before the concert so we don't have to start late. $5 each/$7 for bot nights. We want t sell this concert out. You put butts-in-seats! Talk to friends and family about this.
-Student board: Meets Friday at 7:10.
-DM tryout petitions will be put out Friday.
-Audition materials are out. Be sure you have a copy (INCLUDING FROSH).
-Next week's sectionals will meet using the SMB schedule to work on audition materials: Mon. Trpts. Tues Saxes. Wed Low Brass, Thurs. Flutes, Fri. Clars.

-Percussion: Tidy up the back room. Unpack the IHSA stuff and put cases away today.
