About the SHS Saxon Marching Band

The Saxon Marching Band (SMB) is the largest student organization at Schaumburg High School, comprised of approximately 200 woodwind, brass, percussion, and guard members. The SMB performs at all home football games and the Schaumburg Septemberfest Parade, as well as a local college band day, and home playoff football games. While not on a yearly basis, the marching band has performed in other events in the past, including the Chicago Columbus Day Parade, on the sidelines of the Chicago Marathon, and at Schaumburg Boomers baseball games. The band has toured throughout the United States and Canada, most recently to Florida in March 2024.
