Band Announcements for Wednesday, September 30th

RIP Phil Woods (1931-2015): legendary jazz alto player. He was an icon of bebop and protege of Dizzy Gillespie, and played with everyone, including Buddy Rich, Quincy Jones, Benny Goodman, Billy Joel, and Steely Dan.

BIG BAND: Today and Friday.

New Orleans Trip: final payments are due tomorrow, along with all rooming assignments.

CHIPOTLE FUNDRAISER!!! today 4-8pm. Take several flyers with you and see you tonight!

Jazzers: Auditions will be next Monday 10/5 starting at 3. Friends recordings are due by 11:59 on Sunday.

Sectionals: Low Brass today. Work show in reverse order. Flutes tomorrow.

Pep and Promote Assembly: Friday after 8th hour. You will be dismissed early from your 8th hour class. 

Bake Sale Competition: It's on! The class that bring in the most baked goods per capita will win a fabulous prize.

Bake Sale: This Saturday. Volunteers needed. Please sign up on the board.

Fundraiser IOU's:  DeCarlo ($26). Please turn in ASAP.

New Orleans Trip: Final Payment is due Thursday.

CHIPOTLE FUNDRAISER!!!- This Wednesday from 4-8pm. Flyers will be out Tueday. Give one to everyone you know.

Jazzers: Auditions will be next Monday 10/5 starting at 3. Friends recordings are due by 11:59 on Sunday.

Sectionals: Saxes and Horns today. Work show in reverse order. Low Brass tomorrow.

It's Powder Puff Game Day! Call time is 5:30. Dress is Saxon Wear!

Jazzers: Last reading band will be today from 3-4:30. Be there!

Sectionals: Trumpets today. Work show in reverse order. Saxes and Horns tomorrow. Drumline/Front Ensemble tonight at 7 (following the Powder Puff game)

It's Game Day! Call time is 4:45 for percussion/5:45 for woodwinds and brass. Be early.

Sectionals: Clarinets today. Work on Love Runs Out, Uptown, and Copland with step-offs. Trumpets Monday.

Red and Black Classic Marching Band Competition: at NIU Huskie Stadium tomorrow. Starts at 1:30 and goes until 10:00. Student tickets are $7.

Music Mosaic Concert: congratulations WS on a great first performance. Thank you to all bandos who were in attendance.

Sectionals: Low Brass today. Work on Love Runs Out, Uptown, and Copland with step-offs. Flutes tomorrow.

BIG BAND: Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday this week. ALL students are out on a field trip Thursday 4th period to rehearse with the junior highs. Go directly to the main field.

Variety Show Auditions: sign up for auditions now on the bulletin board outside the music department! Auditions are this Wednesday and Thursday.

Music Mosaic Concert: Tonight! Come and hear the Wind Symphony, Symphony Orchestra, and Concert Choir in their first performance of the year! Free admission. Chamber groups from all disciplines will also be featured! WS call time is 6:30. WS percussion call time is 6:00 Tell your friends and family!

Drumline: 02 Glow walk is this Saturday. Call time is 6:00 at the location. Take drums with you after the game. See Mr. Graffeo for itinerary/directions.

Music Mosaic Concert: Come and hear the Wind Symphony, Symphony Orchestra, and Concert Choir in their first performance of the year tomorrow! Free admission. Chamber groups from all disciplines will also be featured! WS call time is 6:30. Tell your friends and family!
